Wine not your thing? Still want to spend a day drinking and NOT driving? The Hops and Grains tour was created just for you, come hop on! Come and meet the people who make the beer you love. BC’s craft beer explosion didn’t start in the Okanagan, but we sure are catching up… quickly. Craft breweries are not like the “big boys.” They are master crafters who work collaboratively to share their passion with beer drinkers, educating us about their art. Brewmasters team up with other breweries to create one-off brews, and help each other in times of need. Craft beer is community.
Our Hops and Grains tours are your introduction to the community of Okanagan craft breweries, distilleries, and cideries. Get your beer knowledge and tasting on with this down to Earth way to Discover the best beer brewed in the Okanagan Valley.
Kelowna’s beer scene has really exploded over the last few years, with new players coming in every year. Rumour has it there will be one more in 2018, I guess we will have to stay tuned for that one! Small batches are what you will find with these local hot spots, along with constantly changing lineups, so you may not find the same beer twice in these breweries. If you like it, buy it, because there may not be another opportunity for a while.
With this hops and grains adventure, you will visit to 5 to 6 of the following, where you can Discover the classic style at Kelowna’s oldest Micro Brew Pub, being Freddy’s with a stop for an amazing lunch (at your own expense), and the modern brand new small batch Red Bird Brewing. Other stops along the way may include Boundary Brewing Company, Kettle River Brewing, BNA Brewing, Scenic Road Cidery and Urban Distilleries. If you haven’t had the opportunity to find out why Kelowna is the newest BC hot spot for micro brews, we feel this is the right tour for you!
